Yesterday we had a snow day. In all honesty it did not change our routine all that much but gave us an excuse to relax around the house. ( Since moving into our home I found myself becoming much more a "homebody." It doesn't bother me to stay at home all day and most days I actually prefer it. Such a drastic change from how I would always make up reasons to leave our apartment when B was younger.) Anyway, for our snow day we snuggled under warm quilts reading books, drank homemade hot cocoa, stayed in our Pjs all day, and played/ crafted. I was able to get some projects done ( some successful, some not- more on that later ) and just hang out with B. She was so good - not one time out all day! :)
It was way too cold and windy to take her outside so instead I brought a mixing bowl of snow inside the kitchen for her to play with. At first she wasn't sure what to think...
Pretty soon she was eating it like every other normal kid...
