A TINY bit of organization.

So on my quest for some organization I have made a few baby steps. Teeny, tiny baby steps. :)
I thought I was doing something great when I bought these fabric storage containers for our hats, gloves, and scarves. I didnt really calculate that they would be living on the top shelf of our coat closet and I am only 5 feet tall. Thus I tend to throw things up there but cant see WHERE I am throwing said hat, gloves, or scarves. So I give you exhibit A:

Ew.

Our pile of winter wear ... maybe I should stop buying mittens, hats, and scarves for a bit...

My organization plan=failed. So I thought about labels. I had seen these fabric lettered monograms at Joann's that I thought would work great. But they are about $5-$7 each and well I would rather buy fabric or something a little more exciting than beige monogramed letters. So I pulled out my fabric paint, a stencil, and went to town labeling. Now when I throw things I know which bin to throw it into. :)

After I took this picture I realized my "S" is slightly higher than the other two. Boo. Oh well, it saved me $20 and is now much neater. When Matt got home he suggested we could have labeled them with our first  name initials too.  Hmmm.. that might work better. Ill let you know... we might be turning these to another side and trying that method. :)

On another note...

My Christmas cactus decided to start blooming. This is a miracle since two years ago ( in efforts to HELP it grow) I gave it 3rd degree burns with Miracle Grow. Who knew you had to mix it with water?
Welcome back Christmas Cactus!

* Notice the small little start on the left side? I didnt say it was in FULL bloom. Just that it had one.

Then Tuesday when playing with B in her ball pit ( yes, in) I saw this and had to laugh.

" Warning: Supervision is required at all time. Responsible adults should supervise the use of this toy.."

Now how do you know if you are responsible enough? If you are not, are you supposed to leave the room- your supervision not needed? It goes on to list about 50 things to NOT do while playing with this toy....

When I looked up B was breaking rule #37 " Do not stand, jump, or pull on sides"

Guess I am not the responsible adult Little Tykes was hoping for.  :)
