Wine Cork Wreath Tutorial

As a gift for my MIL I made this wreath out of wine corks. 

Here is how I did it..

First, I started out with a cardboard circle cut out. ( I didnt want it to be too heavy so she could use those 3M hangers ) 

Next, I cut strips of neutral material to wrap around the cardboard. I used three strips about 2 feet long each. 

Wrap up the cardboard and start hot gluing your wine/champagne corks on. 

I would recommend placing them on first to see how they all fit before actually gluing them. 

I let it dry over night before hanging it up for pictures... 

Here is your wine cork wreath! You can obviously change the ribbon to whatever color you want. 

I love this because my husband has saved EVERY wine cork- so Im trying to come up with projects to use them in. :)

We were able to make some great progress on the house over the weekend so hopefully later this week Ill be able to get some "before and after" pictures up.
