I'm a hover Mother.
Its offical.
I am THAT Mom that follows B around when we are at public play places to make sure she is playing nice, not getting hurt, or causing trouble.
I need to relax and realize their will be times she will not play nicely with her little friends, she will fall, and will get into trouble.
I took a small step in the right direction last night.
Matt was going out to scrape the drive off ( It has been covered in ice for the last 4 months and we finally had some warmish weather this weekend.) B started getting very upset thinking he was leaving so he threw some boots on her and took her outside with him.
I was cleaning up from lunchner ( Lunch / dinner combo) and looked out the window to find my BABY going up and down the front walk un- assisted. AHHHHHHHH
I started to open the door and yell out to Matt " WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
But then thought about it for a second. B was so proud of herself, Matt was close by keeping an eye on her, and I need to step back and relax you hover Mother you. So I grabbed my camera, snapped a few quick pics and shut the door....
Dad are you seeing this?!
My little B.
Im having a heart attack right now...
10 minutes later Matt came in carrying a crying B for she indeed took a spill ( over confidence got the best of her ) But we cleaned her up, gave her a kiss and a hug, and the world was right again... and she has some sweet battle scars to show for her adventure without the hover Mother. :)
PS We are having a crafting day so tomorrow I should have a few projects completed. :)
