A week for Moms...

Well like most well made plans my plan for this week has not gone as planned. Unfortunately, our guest for today fell through so you guys are stuck with me.

BUT I do have a quick and easy project for you:

An apron Holder

or... back pack/ purse hanger.

I have a few vintage aprons that I love but I forget to use or even get to admire them due to being folded in a drawer. In my kitchen I have my "ugly" wall. When we installed our security system they HAD to put the "stuff" right there in the middle of the kitchen. Blah.

So far all I managed to put on that wall was a clock- so I decided to dress it up a bit and maybe the alarm stuff wont be AS much an eye sore.

For this you need:

Piece of scrap wood
Paint
Distressing Ink ( optional)
Sand paper
Husband or drill
Knobs

Originally I had some old knobs but we couldn't get them attached very well. So I found these glass knobs at Home Goods- $7.99 for 4.

First, I had Matt drill me four holes in my scrap board. Then I added some white paint and let dry over night. To make it look a bit more "rustic" I sanded it and added some distressing ink.
I screwed in the knobs and thats it! We hung it up last night and I am really happy how it turned out.

So tomorrow hopefully we will be back on track. :)

  1. Such a cute idea! I am thinking this would look super cute in a bathroom to hang towels on!
