One Year Later...

Before - After

This past week we celebrated owning our home for one year! Over the last year we have done lots of work to update and repair our "fixer-upper." We still have more to do but have come a long way in just a year.  Im still not sure how Matt talked me into buying the home but Im glad we did. Its been an exciting year and we both have learned a lot.

Also, today Matt and I have our 3 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe its been 3 years already! :)

Boring.

So Im sure you have all noticed that things have been a little um boring  slow around here. For the last few months I have been focusing on simply keeping food down, making sure B is eating and happy, and sleeping. Its been rough. I like to DO things. Laying around - no matter how bad you feel- to me is just as bad. Thus, I have been in a bit of a funk.  We are now getting back into a routine and feeling normal again. Like I have said, I have great intentions to craft all kinds of things but no crafting as of yet. Right now Im just trying to re-claim my house from the last two months of not *really* cleaning.  That and trying to decide the direction I want the blog to go. So bear with me... Ill be back sooner than later. :)

Fall.

I love Fall.
It really is my favorite season. The trees changing colors, the crisp but not freezing air, apple picking
( ok really just eating apple cinnamon doughnuts), pumpkins, decorating- I love it all.
The down side to Fall: the battle over heat begins. Matt is ALWAYS warm. I am ALWAYS cold. This causes quite a problem when deciding on what an appropriate temperature is in our home.
With the temperatures dropping and it being rainy the past few days I have spent more time than I care to with a blanket on the couch since Matt feels it is not time to turn on the heat. Grrrrr.
Oh well, I guess I can use it as an excuse for why I still haven't put away the laundry that is taking over our kitchen table. :)

Bristol last fall. Love her.

With my first trimester coming to an end I am looking forward to having the energy and stomach for crafting again. :)
