Bristol's Princess Sneakers

Lately, most of my crafting has been directed towards getting things done for baby boy.
I needed a break from camo and cars with a sparkly, glitter fix.

Bristol was feeling left out so I decided to try these sneakers I saw on Pinterest. :)
( Does anyone else feel the need to shout from the mountain tops whenever you actually DO something you pinned?!)
Anyway.
I decided to make her sneakers Princess themed since she is slowly getting into Princesses (which I whole heartily encourage).
Lately, her favorite activities include watching football and going to Lowe's.
so can you blame me?

I started off with these Wal-Mart brand converse look- a -likes I found at a thrift store for $1.
I threw them in the wash and they came out good as new.

I dyed the laces a sparkly teal then put those aside to dry.
Next, came the most time consuming and honestly annoying part.
I placed 184757696 rhine stones on the white part of the sneakers. ONE BY ONE.

It was about here I thought, why do I do this to myself?!
Ahhh.

To finish off the sneakers I made two bows with Princess ribbon I got forever ago and some matching polka dot ribbon. I kinda squished the bows together to make them look less like hair bows and more like sneaker bows. Yes, we are talking about sneaker bows. :)

I attached a safety pin on the bows so I can take them off when I need to wash the sneakers. Which Im sure will have to do the first time she wears them since thats just how it goes around here.

Im a little interested to see how the rhine stones hold up. I used E-6000 glue which says its waterproof etc. We shall see.
